Fareham Wheelers is a friendly and inclusive club for sporting and social cyclists of all ages and standards. Whether your interest is in road racing, time-trialling, cyclo-cross, mountain biking, sportives or simply riding for fitness, you will find enthusiastic and like-minded cyclists to ride with. If you wish to ride competitively, the Club can also offer coaching support and a comprehensive programme of events.
Throughout the year the Club organises various social events, both on and off the bike, including meals out, a summer Beach BBQ, themed rides such as ‘Souper Sunday’, an away-weekend to Frome in the spring and the annual Awards Dinner in the autumn. They are a great way to socialise with your fellow club members, and both cyclists and partners are welcome.
The Club usually meets socially every Tuesday evening at Catisfield Village Hall. It’s all very informal, just lots of cycling talk over tea and coffee, so if you’re thinking about joining it’s a good way to meet people and find out more. Call in any time between 7.30 and 9pm and you’ll be made very welcome. Or, if you prefer, join us for our Sunday morning road ride from Wickham Community Centre at 9am. (Arrive 10 minutes before for the pre-ride briefing and to find out which group is best for you). You can find out more about the Sunday run here.
